I mean the whole thing with Latin American names is a mess when you come to the US.

When I went to get my Social Security Number, they said that the visa had listed my both names as my FIRST NAME and both of my last names as LAST NAME. If I wanted to get it correctly, we would have had to contact the U.S. embassy at Venezuela and NO, THANK YOU, that would have taken forever. So, yeah. Legally my name in the U.S. is a mess… and my last name is a whole different issue because my second last name is “von Buren”, which is German. American people usually think I have THREE LAST NAMES.

Come on, America, you have a president whose last name is van something. COME ON.
